Congratulations to Samantha Wilkening!

BWDM student worker graduates with a B.S. in Anthropology

We’re excited to share some big news about Samantha Wilkening, one of our dedicated student workers at the Blackwater Draw Museum. Sam has been an essential part of our team since the Spring of 2022, where she’s worked the front desk, led tours, and contributed to several curation projects.

On December 14, 2024, Sam graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Anthropology with an emphasis in Cultural Anthropology and a minor in History. Her time at the museum has been marked by hard work, a commitment to learning, and a passion for educating visitors on the Clovis points and megafauna! Sam plans to continue her education at ENMU by joining our Anthropology graduate program. We’re so proud of all she’s accomplished and look forward to seeing where her studies and career in anthropology take her.

Congrats Sam!
